Hej hej,
I’m Jessica Carasynthia, you might know me by my stage name Carasynthia Ferro, I’m a former medical student with experience on the frontlines of emergency services during the pandemic, working contracts internationally, & supporting charity work.
My Experience
Urgency Amongst Uncertainty
Before I went back to education I worked UK delivery & Middle East courier services, followed by a stint in retail work for a European discount supermarket chain. My customer service gained the notice of the VP of GB operations, & I was known for pulling triple duty as ad-hoc management, loss prevention, as well as repairing machinery, repairing security systems, & alternative entry services when the store keys were inadvertently left inside the self-locking office.
I attended an access course at college followed by enrolling in a Paramedic Science BSc at a prestigious university in South-East England. Working alongside experienced & passionate on the Ambulance, as well as experience working in A&E departments & in dementia communities was both as fulfilling as it was humbling. Being there to help people at their most helpless was an honour & some of the most useful experience I’ve gained.
Unfortunately, bigotry is alive & well within the educational institution & when I needed time off for sickness following the cancer-related death of a parent, I was convinced to simply leave the course instead. Although I was capable & had a high level of achievement, at the upper levels there was a desire to hold no space for members of the LGBT community.
The common thread tying all my work together has been a sense of urgency amongst the uncertainty. Not knowing where I need to go or what I need to do until the moment, but thriving in that sense of adaptation & fulfilling the objectives set for me whether in retail, emergency medical are, or on contract. Working under pressure was where I worked best.
Returning to work has been a long process, but with my extensive customer service & emergency care experience, I can easily fit into most roles as required. I’ve fulfilled contracts internationally in Europe & North America for short term & quick completion, but now I’m focusing on building more long-term connections in Northern & Western Europe.
Giving Back
I always try to be active in my community, through helping others, assisting with tasks, & supporting initiatives. Recently when there were waterworks in my home area disrupting water supply, I used my own funds to provide bottled water to all of my neighbours to ensure they wouldn’t go without. I believe that with compassion & cooperation we can make this world a better place for all to live in.
A large portion of all my profits from 2021-2024 have been donated to Ukraine through various charities. In 2024 I started volunteering my time to a UK based charity dedicated to fighting against poverty & inequality worldwide.
